This is my favourite part of the Music Section. I hope you, the visitor, enjoy it as well. ***WARNING AND DISCLAIMER*** This section needs a sense of humour. If you don't have one, exit this section AT ONCE!! You've been warned! It is a very scary thing when I get bored. For, when I do, I usually come up with some pretty wild (or nasty, depending on how you want to take me)things. One thing fluttered through my mind this past weekend, and I couldn't stop the ideas from snowballing. I had to act upon it. Enlisting the help of my "terrifying" counterpart, Jessica Rabbit, we've created a list of songs that to us, reflect the wrestling tours we've taken through the past years here in Atlantic Canada when the WWF has passed through. It may give you a bit of an idea of what goes on up here when things let loose. Then again, it may not. It may give you a better understanding and appreciation of how I/we think and believe, and the perhaps even about the people we've decided to include. Or, it may just confuse you. :) In any case, the two of us had an absolute SCREAM coming up with these. I know I laughed so hard I had tears for most of these. And there were many where we BOTH lost it completely. These were good things to remember. Thanks to Jessica for her help in bringing me back down to sanity when I got too carried away and far off the track(happened alot! ROFL!) (as always). These songs are what we consider to be an honest reflection of our time involved, as well as the people. You can try to disagree with our choices, but, if you weren't there, you can't give us opposition. And, if you were there, we know you'd agree! We've really tried to paint the whole picture with our song choices. Most songs are just the title, as the title says it all. Some songs, I couldn't help myself, and had to put in the relevant lines as well, because, it's just too damn funny. Other songs, I've included the complete lyrics to the song, or a link to the lyrics for you, because the song isn't particulrily well known, or it helps to truly paint the whole picture. We hope you enjoy going along with us for our rides. We hope that you find the humour (and the truth) in these as we do, and if you don't, we're very sorry about that, but, we aren't going to explain it to you either, as it's like having to explain the punch line to a joke--it takes all the fun out of it. We also hope that we will be able to add to this list in the future, but, that's highly dubvious, so we are using this as the "recording of history" so to speak. If you feel the need to send feedback, feel free to do so at anytime to: Email Icewolf
Now, onto the tunes: PS: The last section, is the BEST section! :) :) :)
Songs that represent the Atlantic Canadian Wrestling Tours in general: 1) "The Boys Are Back In Town" Guess who just got back today Them wild eyed boys that had been away. Haven't changed, hadn't much to say But, man, I still think them cats are crazy. The boys are back in town, the boys are back in town I said the boys are back in town. The boys are back in town Spread the word around, Guess who's back in town. Just spread the word around. Down at Dino's bar and grill The drink will flow and the blood will spill And if the boys wanna fight you better let 'em. Now that the boys are here again. 2) "We're Here For A Good Time (Not A Long Time)" A very good friend of mine Told me something the other day I'd like to pass it on to you 'Cause I believe what he said to be true. He said 'We're here for a good time Not a long time (not a long time)', So have a good time The sun can't shine every day And the sun is shinin' In this rainy city And the sun is shinin' Oooooh, isn't it a pity And every year, has it's share of tears And every now and then it's gotta rain We're here for a good time Not a long time So have a good time The sun can't shine every day 3) "Take A Chance On Me" If you change your mind, I'm the first in line Honey I'm still free Take a chance on me If you need me, let me know, gonna be around If you've got no place to go, if you're feeling down. Gonna do my very best and it ain't no lie If you put me to the test, if you let me try Take a chance on me (That's all I ask of you honey) Take a chance on me We can go dancing, we can go walking, as long as we're together Listen to some music, maybe just talking, get to know you better If you change your mind, I'm the first in line Honey I'm still free Take a chance on me If you need me, let me know, gonna be around If you've got no place to go, if you're feeling down Take a chance on me (Come on, give me a break will you?) Take a chance on me 4)"Raise A Little Hell" 5)"Ten Feet Tall And Bulletproof" This in general, is a GREAT wrestling song. It encompases so much, in so little, but, it REALLY represents a few things with regards to the wrestling up here. We undoubtedly have the STUPIDEST, and GUT-SIEST fans ANYWHERE! This song we dedicate to the idiots who jumped in the ring and gave us an extra show within the show. We dedicate this to the idiots who seemed to frequent "The Palace" AFTER the show. (Who needed a wrestling ticket in the end?): "I'll find a bar, And I'll have a few, Until I'm Ten Feet Tall and Bulletproof. Well I start to feel like Superman, Then I pick a fight. Only to find out my opponent's Holding Kryptonite. You'd think I'd learn my lesson, But I'm still paying dues Each time I drink And start to think I'm Ten Feet Tall and Bulletproof." Songs that represent the times in Halifax (and in some cases, the people and places too): 1) "If You Could Read My Mind Love" If you could read my mind, love, What a tale my thoughts could tell. If I could read your mind, love, What a tale your thoughts could tell. I never thought I could feel this way And I've got to say that I just don't get it. 2)"Sweet Dreams Are Made of This" 3) "(There's Gonna Be) A Heartache Tonight" Somebody's gonna hurt someone, Before the night is through. Somebody's gonna come undone, There's nothin' we can do. Everybody wants to touch somebody If it takes all night. Everybody wants to take a little chance, Make it come out right. There's gonna be a heartache tonight, a heartache tonight, I know. There's gonna be a heartache tonight, I know. Lord, I know. Some people like to stay out late Some folks can't hold out that long But nobody wants to go home now. There's too much goin' on. There's gonna be a heartache tonight, A heartache tonight, I know. There's gonna be a heartache tonight, A heartache tonight, I know. Lord I know. Somebody's gonna hurt someone,(somebody) Before the night is through Somebody's gonna come undone, There's nothin' we can do We can beat around the bushes; we can get down to the bone We can leave it in the parkin' lot, but either way, there's gonna be a heartache tonight, a hearache tonight I know. There'll be a heartache tonight a heartache tonight I know. 4) "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" 5)Jessica's perspective a time or two *snickers*: "You Ain't Much Fun Since I quit drinkin'" 6)In honour of Mark's last two nights in Halifax: "The Whiskey Ain't Workin' Anymore" There was a time when I could drink my cares away And drown out all of the heartaches that hurt me night & day When the thought of you came crashin' through I'd have one more But now the whiskey ain't workin' anymore I need one good honky tonk angel to turn my life around That's reason enough for me to lay this old bottle down A woman warm & willing is what I'm looking for 'Cause the whiskey ain't workin anymore They knew my name at every bar in town And they knew all of the reasons why I was comin 'round 'round 'round. 'Cause the whiskey ain't workin' anymore Lord the whiskey ain't workin' anymore That's for sure! 7) "Don't Forget Me When I'm Gone" Don't forget me when I'm gone My heart would break I have loved you for so long It's all I can take Songs that represent the times in Moncton (and in some cases, the people and places too): 1) "Oh What A Night" 2) "Turn Me Loose" 3) FOR ZIGGY'S!! Oh, those little shooters, (TKO'S FOREVER) How I love to drink them down C'mon, bartender, let's have another round. Well the music's playing and my spirits are high Was the life of the party; I can't stop grinning, Jose Cuervo, you are a friend of mine. Old Billy Joe and Tommy, (insert boys name here) well they went a little far, They were sitting in the street blowing on the siren in somebody's police car. Could have been the whiskey, might have been the gin. We'll take out the diningroom table, and put bar along that wall And a neon sign to point the way to our bathroom down the hall. She said, "Just bring those Fridy paychecks, and I'll cash 'em all right here. And I'l keep on tap for all your friends, their favourite kind of beer. Then you can slap my bottom each time you tell a joke just as long as you keep tipping, I'll laugh until you're broke. In stead of family quarrels, we'll ahve a bar-room brawl, when the Hamm's bear says it's closin' time, you won't have far to crawl. And when you run out of money, you'l have me to thank.
