I was thinking and thought it a little ironic that
I didn't have a page about music, or my tastes in music at least, and
yet, I am a music teacher. Ironic huh? So, I decided that I
would take and put up some things on a page on the
people, bands, songs and music that I personally like. As
with the page in general, and links on non-wrestling topics
already included on this page, I cannot say that Jim
would endorse any of this, or that he even likes music. All
I know is that I am putting up stuff here that I want. It
seems like the "Jim Dotson Page" is turning into much more of
a melting-pot of things, not just a wrestling space. :)

Needless to say, being a music teacher, I have an eclectic
taste in what I listen to and/or make. The links and thoughts
and all other things posted here are in no specific order, nor
do they have any rhyme or reason to them. They are just things
that I like and thought I'd share. Feel free to take the time
to sift through it at your leisure. Hopefully you'll find
things that you are also interested in, but I can not promise.

Enjoy if you can :)

SEPTEMBER 19, 2000: NEW SECTION!!
Please, check out the newest section to this music page! It's by
far, the pride and joy of this page! This is a list of songs that
sum up the Atlantic Canadian WWF wrestling tours over the past few
years for us. It encomapsses, people, places, and events in what
we can only say is the most honest terms possible.
If this sounds interesting, please, click this link:
WWF Wrestling, ATlantic Canada Style

Here are some links to people, singers, bands,
groups that I like.

Ann and Nancy Wilson/Heart Homepage
Heart ROCKS! I got to see them live in concert last summer, (summer of 99) and I was all too impressed with the music, the stage work, the band and most of all the PIPES on Ann! There was a post in Ann's tour diary about our little show, but I'm not really sure if it is still there or not, but you can try looking for it. It was a godo read. We really surprised them. The show was an outdoor rock weekend in Moncton, New Brunswick for any who are interested in trying to look it up. (Rock) Sawyer Brown
These are my BOYS! I ADORE these guys. Absolute sweethearts. I have had the honour and priviledge of seeing them live 4 times now, the first one dating back to 1991. I have also been able to meet Mark and Hobie and I can tell you they are really sweet. Great music, Great dancers and Great guys overall. Check it out. (Country) Zakk Wylde/Black Label Society Homepage
I am most impressed with the actual music on this group's CD. It is far from typical metal. The only drawback I have with it is that the music and lyrics are damn depressing! It is a good thing that these guys have a credo that says death is not an option, because I might have said they are on the suicidal edge. I can also say with certainty that this group is infact, one that Jim Dotson enjoys. If you haven't taken a peek at the interviews section, there is an interview there of Jim and Zakk and how their friendship goes way back. I recommend going out and finding this CD. The layering in the music is very complex and fresh. (Heavy Metal) Toby Keith Homepage
I ADORE this man! He is just too cute! Put on top of that a wicked sense of humour that comes out really well in his music. I got to see him a few years backm when he only had one song out on the radio. I was blown away. Not only by the music, but also by the man. A sweetie. On top of that, he could make the transition to a wrestler very easily. He is HUGE! (Country)

Song Lyrics

I have had a hell of a hard time finding song lyrics to things
on the internet. I gues I have odd tastes anyways. Put on top
of that, there aren't too many places that have up canadian
music. Oh well. I wish I could put up databases for you to
search to find that song that you just can't figure the words
out to, but I myself haven't come across one that can do it
for me yet. If I eventually do though, I'll pass it along to
you all.

For now, you will just have to put up with the songs that I
like and actually bother type out the words to.

MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY MANY THOUSAND THANK YOUS go
out from me to ~dville and to Jade for their time and effort
in typing out some of these songs and also for going out and
scouring the net for them! Half of this list would not be
up here without their work. Thank you ladies! You are a great
blessing for this section!! *HUGS*

For now, it will be slow going to get these up, but hopefully
I'll have a few more every time you visit.

I will be running the gamut of music tastes and genres here.
I'd love to be able to offer you a sound byte of all the songs
I post here, I'll work on that as well. But, for now, all I
can offer you is a look at the ones that I really have grown
to like in music. I'll try to do these in a bit more of an
organized fashion. The Canadian section will not be broken
down into genres. I will bracket what type of song they are.

DISCLAIMER:

I do Not have permission to reprint these song lyrics.
I am using these for the sole purposes of aiding other

the lyrics are. I am not putting these up here with
